according to recent reports..
there are about 300,000 millionaires
in the Middle East alone...
a grew of 9.5 percent

while, in North America,
where the millionaires grew 9.7 percent
to 2.7 million people

the number of millionaires worldwide
also jumped to 8.3 million people in 2004
from 7.7 million in 2003

their total wealth rose 8.2 percent
to USD 30.8 trillion

the amount of wealth controlled by this class
in the Middle East grew by 28.9 percent
in 2004 to USD 1 trillion

according to the report,
about 1.22 per cent of the UAE's population
of 4.32 million residents
have a net worth of at least USD 1 million

in other words,
one out of every 80 residents
in the UAE is a millionaire..

(do keep in mind, that all figures are in USD)
(do remember, only 20% of total population are local UAE)

the report said
the number of millionaires
in the UAE has gone up
to 52,800 in 2004
from 47,000 in 2003
and 45,000 in 2002
— a rise of 12.3 per cent
which is higher than the USA
which posted a growth of 9.8 per cent.

just imagine.. or is it beyond imagination?

well, i am a millionaire too..
and i bet in my wallet/purse at the moment
