watched SEPET by Yasmin Ahmad..
well.. ok la..
what do you expect,
it's Yasmin's !
the movie - SEPET
or perhaps, all her movies
(yet to watch GUBRA)
were definitely not a typical malay movies
but definitely typical of hers..
which were;
out of the 'normal' norms and values
very detailed and slow nevertheless
and you really have to be patience
if you decided to watch any of her production..
(but i did like
most of her advert for festivities)
notwithstanding the above..
it did prove that i am indeed
a patient man..
hehehe...

but, the merits
was not sebab it's popular
or box-office..
these kind of movies
diaorg dapat awards..
because it's unconventional

i've met Kak Yasmin - she's really really nice.
and when i told her i got my own sepet story, she laughed and introduced me to her husband - what she said was HER Sepet.
cute kan, the story? except i tak puas hati that it's not a happy ending.
dengar2, Gubra is not as light and airy as Sepet was.
