kenapa mesti diteruskan trend ni
i.e. Malaysia (negara) lawan Chelsea (kelab)

if me not mistaken
these Clubs (Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool)
during their summer tours kat negara lain
semuanya akan lawan dengan Kelab negara tu je
i.e. not the National Team

dah la tu..
sure kalah punya la team Malaysia
National team tuuuu oiii..
dah berapa kali dah..

letih oiii.. bikin malu la
jangan la diteruskan lagi

kalau nak jemput lawan pun
Kelab vs. Kelab le

mangkuk tingkat betul!

niat tu ada hajat baik agaknya

more often that not
as i am preparing myself
to go to work in the morning
i wouldn't switch on the tele

but this morning..
i tuned in to this
English-Dubai-based tv channel

it's a good free-to-air channel
they have good choice of programmes
especially the sitcoms and movies from 6pm
but, sex/kissing scenes would be censored/cut short
unlike the other channels

anyway..
my story is about the news programme
prime time at 8.30 pm daily
and repeat at 7.00 am the next day

but.. amazingly..
the contents of the news
mostly (90%) were stuff from yesterday

huh?

yupppp..
you heard me right

how exactly?

well..
if you're to watch the evening slot
but had earlier read any daily newspaper
you would realise that the newslady
would be reading the same articles
that had been published in that newspaper

hmmm..
suratkhabar usually report
events yang berlaku.. semalam..
am i right?

in short..
the aforesaid news-slot
instead of reporting (fresh) news of that day
its ‘coverage’ was actually yesterday's events

hence..
it is even worse if you’re to watch
the repeat slot, the morning after
i.e. the news will be about events from two days ago

like i did this morning..

among others.. the modus operandi..
they would send the 'offer' through email

UAE ni ramai orang kaya..
baik dan murah hati..
but, things like spam emails ni
memang bende baru for most people..
so.. what a good combination..

contoh.. bayangkan..
ada government officials
are still using yahoo or hotmail domain emails
as their 'official' emails

jadinya.. memang terdedah kepada email spamming
jadinya.. ada orang yang berduit, baik hati
but, malangnya tak reti ni
telah terperdaya dengan scams yang disebutkan

mula-mula.. black money...
next.. 1% fee for millionaire heritage
then.. humanitarian donation..
next.. employment opportunities
macam-macam ada..

cuma.. yang sedihnya..
bila dalam berita or reports
ada menyebut things like..
'bank account in Malaysia'
'email from Malaysia'
'operating in Malaysia'

dan yang 'paling sedih'..
Malaysians pun kena tipu gak..

apapun.. teringat aku satu 'petua'
yang aku bagi kat my famili... decade back
semasa kes skim labu, piramid and all other scams
baru nak menular.. baru nak terkenal..
and ada among my family members yang nak 'join'

aku kata.. kalau betul la..
bayar 1% akan diganti 20%..
or labur RM 100 jadi RM 1000..
tentunya Maybank sendiri yang patut/akan
melabur kat bende-bende ni..

last weekend.. tak berapa sihat..
pening-lalat and seram-sejuk gitu

dah lama pun tak sakit..

tak gi hospital pun..
sebab dah 'terbiasa' pun iye
sebab malas nak pergi pun satu

dah bertahun gak la
tak gi hospital..
jimat duit, jimat masa aku..

bukan apa.. sebenarnya..

selalunya.. kalau time sakit
kalau nak gi hospital tu
(yang hospital kerajaan especially)
time nak menunggu turn, doktor panggil masuk bilik
untuk pemeriksaan dan seterusnya dapat ubat
punya la lama..

dan.. selalunya..
ruang menunggu kat klinik tu
adalah berhampiran sangat
dengan bilik/kaunter terima ubat

jadinya..
by the time nak dapat jumpa doktor
aku dah 'terbau' semua jenis ubat kat kaunter tu
dan dah 'kebah' dari sakit tu..

hehehe..

pendek kata.. apapun..
memang cukup malassss
kalau nak ke klinik or hospital ni

alhamdulillah..

adalah antara minggu paling panas di UAE

mudah sungguh pening kepala
senang betul rasa letih

rasa malas la sesangatnya..

and the air-cond too remains switch on
to keep the temperature in the car

alasan yang diberikan oleh pihak berkenaan
yang ingin kuatkuasakan undang-undang ini
kerana jika enjin kenderaan tersebut tidak dimatikan
asapnya akan menyebabkan pencemaran alam

anyway.. kalau kat Malaysia..
rasanya.. bukan masalah takut 'kesejukan' tu hilang

classmates primary school in 1987

i still have the vhs of the film
(recently got hold of the vcd)
and still love to watch it
every now and then..

was Road House

i watched it with my first 'couple'
it was in 1989, we were in secondary school
well, it was a double-date really
with her older sister and boyfriend

hehe...

i do own the vhs version
and still love to watch it
from time to time

my favourite movies of all time
will no doubt and no contest
the P Ramlee's

personally,
he alone will not make the movies.. funnier..
there were people like Aziz, Sudin, M. Zain
A.R. Tompel, Ahmad Nisfu, Ibrahim Din,
and the other not-so-famous film legends

it's showtime

i am no longer a fan
of 'going out to the movies'
- neither was i a real fan before
merely a casual visitors

but, precisely since year 1999
i had relinquished any thoughts
of going to the cinema
to watch a movie

among the reasons were;
- available home entertainment system
- cheap and good (and pirated) vcd/dvd
- no longer a teenager.. hehe..

well.. frankly, since then..
the only movies that i had watched
at the cinemas were;


Lord of The Rings
itupun sebab terpaksa
since i joined them that evening..
i fall asleep after an hour or so
and never like to watch any of the LOTR..
seriously.. it was disappointing and pointless
to watch that powerless-and-rasa-nak-terajang-je Gordo
and seriously.. the Eyes of Sauron?
if you observe carefully.. it does look like a v*g*na..
(sorry.. mind my language.. but it does, don't you think?)


and Puteri Gunung Ledang
few days before i left for the UAE
in the spirit of 'the last movie'..
loved the fights scene and the whole cinematography

nevertheless..
one of the main reasons
i've turned my back against 'going to the cinemas'
was; the censorship and the subtitles

well, i could make my peace with the censorship board
but.. the 3-lines or almost-half-of-the-screen subtitles
i can't stand that anymore.. nope.. sorry, too annoying..
especially since we now have the pleasure and comfort
the option to watch the movies at home.. via dvds and vcds
i could bring any foods i want, i could go pee any time i need

anyhow...
as i said.. i used to love going to the movies
during my much younger days as a happy-go-lucky teenager
my favourite were Cathay and Rex cinemas in KL

one of my favourite movies
and the only movie that i had watched
for 4 times.. at a cinema..
was Layar Lara

i just loved this film so much
that i even watched it
for that 3rd and 4th times
all by myself

yupp.. those were the days..

good old times

tak tengok filem hindustan

last weekend..
out of boredom
layan vcd Kabhi Kushi and Kuch Hota Hai

well.. was never a true fan though
at least not with the new and current
trend and plot of hindi films

preferred those old hindi films
yang berkisah tentang
life's struggle, good versus evil;
yang berkisar pasal
konflik keluarga, antara dua darjat,
anak / adik-beradik terpisah then jumpa semula
after so many years, but sorang polis sorang crook;
yang tak dapat tidak, mesti ada keretapi, gunung,
lori, kayu hoki, hujan, taman bunga,
and of course unsur kerohanian dan ketuhanan

dah lebih kepada;
life is easy, all about love conflicts
semua orang kaya, rumah macam mahligai
travel and holidays oversea, etc..

pelakon yang dulunya karektor jahat
now.. only playing clowny characters..

hmm...

plus minus points;
now, no more fights, guns and suicide scenes
now, life is all above lovy-dovy
dulu, you must work hard
dulu, love is above everything else i.e. money

during the 80s and early 90s..
Hindi film.. kalau kat Malaysia
would only be aired on RTM TV2
around 2 pm, on Friday..

but.. after the burst of
Shah Rukh Khan and the rest of the Khan's clan
on Saturday / Sunday.. there were 4 hindi films
broadcasted by almost all channels

hmm.. not sure how it is at present

nevertheless..
i prefer those old years films better
they would remind me;
to work hard,
to love our parents and siblings,
to honour friendship..

to take the train and to play hockey..
hehe.. (bad joke)...

ada satu scene filem hindi lama ni
yang aku tak leh lupa sampai sekarang..

dalam filem tu.. (ada subtitles)
mamat baik ni dapat tangkap orang jahat tu
then dia ikat mamat jahat tu and berkata;
"kau ni.. punya la jahat..
bukan sahaja syurga kau tak masuk..
tapi, neraka pun kau tak kan masuk.."

perghhhhhh.. bayangkan..
