good ride

dulu, back in Mac 2006
masa harga petrol prices increased by 30 sen
the Malaysian govt had been recorded saying
that the RM 4.4 billion 'surplus' from the subsidy
will be used to lift up the standard and the state
of the current Public Transportation system

hmmmm...
apa dah jadi?
and what's the update?

anyway, pasal our public transportation
was it 'about time' or has been long overdue?

either this or that
just implement it and materialise it!

it has been my long life dream
to see a good public transport system
in my beloved tanahairku

i had faced it
i had my share on these ordeals
Bus Ride, Commuter, Taxis, Train



i am very sure, that millions of Malaysians
had treasured their own experiences
past and present, thus, i hope not for future too

the thing that always amuzes and tickles me is;
they are so many Ministers, Senior Govt Officials
Decision-Makers, Think-tankers and the like
been visiting countries like Singapore, US, UK, Korea, Japan

every now and then..
i am sure these people have seen and realised
(and at times even complimented)
on how good these countries' public transportation were
and what good it could bring to its citizens

it makes me wondering even more...
to imagine; when was the last time
the aforesaid distinguished individuals
took a bus ride, paid the taxi fares,
hassled with other commuters, in Malaysia

'kerajaan menyeru rakyat menukar cara hidup'
is it not that kerajaan too is the rakyat?

rakyat yang membantah tak semestinya pembangkang
rakyat bersuara kerana sayangkan negaranya

so.. now..
only time and tide will tell..
whether they meant what they've said
or it is just another rhetoric and sweet-talk

'you can fool some people some times
but, you can't fool the people all the time'
