life must go on

mak undergone the operation
last 26th.. around the afternoon

alhamdulillah..
it went well, things are getting better
but, of course, mak is now
without a toe

abah and adik-adik
are regular patrons at the Hospital
day in day out, looking after mum

my sweet little sis
is consistantly texting the current updates
and i managed to talk to mak every now and then
via her mobile phone

last night Dr. Cool visited mak
and his email was an assurance
and his kindness will always be remembered

thank you.. to all of you
for your prayers and assistance
in whatever form they might be
really appreciate it!

hanya Allah yang mampu membalasnya
aminn...

Bro,

I was late yesterday
and felt guilty having to bother your mum
at 5 mins to midnite!

Went there with a local friend, yet sesat jugak.

Greeted warmly by the reception staff
who then directed me to the 3rd floor of the medical centre.

I quickly went through your mum's medical notes
with permission from the in-charge staff-nurse
who had been very helpful.

The operation is called 'Ray's amputation'
and was performed due to 'gangrenous' right big toe
which caused intense pain to your mother
and the haywired sugar control.

Currently, your mum is pain free
even during wound dressing.

FYI, the amputated area is left bare-flesh, no suturing
and this area needs daily dressing after hospital discharge.

She is currently on insulin injection
and she may need to learn injecting herself from now on
twice daily.

The wound care, and dieting is very important
to master before going home.
I hope the nurse/ doctor will explain accordingly.

General condition;
your mum is no more pale compared to last Ramadhan,
well composed emotionally and her blood pressure
is well controlled as compare to before the operation.

Again, one name brought a smile on her face;
when I asked abour your return..:)
I shared the excitement
as she quickly told me your flight home.

I left the suite after some advice
and reminder for her later care,
including the 'glucometer'.
I learnt that your sister is getting one.

I passed by the nurse counter
noticing a crowd of 6 staffs (tadi sorang je),
exchanging Byes and other wishes ! :).
Then I smsed you.

Let me know if you need further assistance, ok.
